What is Biblical Hospitality?

We have had a mission partnership in Africa stretching over 30 years. This spring a small team from Christ Community went to support the ministry and deepen the partnership. They found the ministry in Kenya effective and growing in powerful ways. They have come back with two lessons for our community as we try to love our neighbors and address the needs of our own communities. This week’s teaching is on biblical hospitality. Almost every culture has its own unique expression of hospitality. Hospitality in Japan is different than in Germany, and Guatemala is different than Zimbabwe – but Christianity is the most unique of all. Christians are called to a hospitality that goes beyond tribe or tradition. Biblical hospitality is a tangible expression of God’s incredible love for us.
