Faith in God is a challenge for everyone, especially adults. As we get older, we get more and more confident that we understand how the world works. And when our lives don’t go according to our plans or understanding, we have a tendency to cast blame. Gideon is no different. His people have been suffering seven years of injustice at the hands of their neighbors. They’ve lost food, homes, family members and security. When God comes to answer their prayers and meets Gideon, he meets a skeptic with almost no faith in God.
