It’s the most wonderful time of the year! But what if it could be more wonderful? What if you and I are only celebrating a fraction of the full story? The gospel is that Christ has come and that Christ will come again. That story has two parts, yet most of our celebrations and attention is only focused on the first. The good news is that Christ will come again, God’s redemption is unfinished. This advent season, we want to change the way you think about Christmas. We want it to be even more hopeful, even more joyful, even more wonderful. This week’s teaching comes after our annual Christmas program. This tradition pulls in the voices and songs of our youngest and oldest members. It is a reminder that Christ didn’t just come for some, the birth of Jesus is good news of great joy for all the people.
