“You give them something to eat.”

In Matthew 14, we see Jesus asking his disciples to feed 5,000 people with only a few loaves and fish. What might have felt like to be a disciple in that situation? Today, we are surrounded by very complex issues affecting our neighborhoods, and we can often feel just like those disciples, wanting to feed 5,000 with only a few loaves and fish, overwhelmed by the task. In this sermon, we will explore the ways in which the Church is called to serve side by side with God's Spirit and the wild imagination that such a posture can ensue.
