Jesus the Heretic

When the early church was trying to explain its beliefs to others it landed on a simple phrase, “Jesus is LORD!” That statement has had profound implications for 2000 years. This November, we are studying what that phrase means and how it can guide the church today. This week we will look at the unique Jewish idea of monotheism (belief in one god) and how it led early Jewish Christians to claim that “Jesus is LORD.”
