On Palm Sunday Jesus changed his strategy. He had spent 3 years avoiding popularity and attention. He regularly told people not to tell others about him. But on that day, he sent his disciples to borrow a young donkey and help him make a scene. He was drawing the world’s attention. This week’s teaching is built around an ancient Psalm people used to sing on their way to the temple in Jerusalem. For hundreds of years people were praying for a savior, and yet when he came, they missed him. Why did they miss him and how can we be sure to see God right in front of us?
