There is a lie in your world. It says: “Life, when lived right is easy.” It is perpetuated in the arenas of athletics, academics, business and religion. The truth is that life, no matter how many good decisions you make can still have plenty of hardship and disruption. Our culture is still in the midst of a long and difficult season of disruption. The disruption of our time has created division, pain and loss. What does the Bible say to Christians facing disruption? A lot! The problems of the early church (division, false teaching, persecution and distractions) are many of the same problems facing the modern church. Most of the New Testament letters were written to young and maturing Christians trying to keep the faith in the face of new and difficult disruptions.
