The people of Israel were waiting for good news. They had been in captivity for months, longing for normal to return and God’s word comes through a letter from the prophet Jeremiah. The letter had good news and bad news. The good news was that God has a good future planned for his people. The bad news was that its gonna take 70 years for it to be fulfilled. So what should people of faith do while they are waiting for deliverance? That sounds like a helpful question to people in the midst of a pandemic! God’s response is simple and powerful.
