The story of Esther is meant to be read by normal people in the midst of uncertain times. Esther is a young, orphaned woman in a foreign land. She has no power, little safety and no control of her future. Yet God is about to use her to save thousands of lives.
We all have times in our lives where we don’t know what is happening and why. Often our prayer to God is a prayer of confusion, “God, what are you doing?” Pay attention to Esther’s story and find encouragement. Just because we can’t see God’s hand doesn’t mean that deliverance isn’t coming. God’s deliverance is always on time.
