Why Should You Read and Keep Reading the Bible?

Year after year the Bible is the best-selling book in the United States and around the world. No matter your religious opinion, it is and continues to be the most significant book in the history of the world. Over the last few generations the value of the scriptures have come under great scrutiny. Many are asking, “Is the Bible still relevant?” “Why should I read and study this ancient text?” As our church begins another year of ministry, we invite you to recover the power of the scriptures in your life and our church. This week’s teaching is on why you should keep reading the Bible and how to read the scriptures for transformation.

Scripture References: Deuteronomy 29:23-28, Deuteronomy 30:1-20

From Series: "The Bible"

The Bible is often seen as confusing, outdated, or even irrelevant—maybe that’s why one author called it the best-selling book never read. But for Jesus, the Bible wasn’t just a book; it was central to His life and ministry. He relied on it, taught it, and trusted it completely. If Jesus viewed the Bible this way, what does that mean for us? Could trusting Scripture as Jesus did transform not only how we read the Bible but how we live?
