There once were two men who wanted to join Jesus and when they asked Jesus told him that he is homeless and doesn’t have much time for funerals. Really. That’s what he said. Why would Jesus say that? Jesus responded like that to make an important point. Jesus’s mission is all over and it takes priority over everything. Right now our world is different and most of us feel like we’ve been in a holding pattern for 5 months. The words of Jesus are a great reminder that, even now, God is inviting you to be faithful in this moment.
