13 Men Go For A Walk

The Irony of Easter

Belief requires maintenance. We believe in a salvation that is already present and true, but not yet fully realized. In this way we are like the Jews at the time of Jesus, thankful for God’s past deliverance and longing for a future salvation. We hold on to our belief by gathering together, remembering together and reaching up to God together. The irony of Easter is that God fulfills our deepest need, even if we don’t understand it, by reaching down to us in the life, death and resurrection of Christ!
