“Where Do We Start?”

Like a parent telling a child to stay away from something dangerous, God told his people to steer clear of the danger of sin. Yet over and over again, God’s people ignored His word. To their own detriment, they took charge of their own plans. As a result, their nation, city and temple were destroyed, and tens of thousands of Jews were deported thousands of miles from their home. 70 years later God begins to bring them home. Through the surprising gifts of a pagan king, the people of God are permitted to return home and given the financial resources to rebuild the temple. This old story gives us a glimpse of how we can rebuild our faith and follow God when things look bleak. Journey with us into the story of Ezra.
