CloseThe tower of Babel is one of those Old Testament text that doesn’t make much sense at first glance. The people are working on a project and God messes up their language, which messes up their ability to collaborate, which scatters them all over the world. But as the Biblical story develops we see that the tower of Babel was an attempt to disobey God’s instruction and replace God’s role in their lives with their own accomplishments and inventions. God’s plan is always bigger than our plans and is always beyond our comprehension. This week we will study this confusing story in light of John’s vision in Revelation.
