CloseOne of the Bible’s greatest stories comes out of a great, prolonged tragedy. The people of Israel had grown so large, they were now a threat to the entire Egyptian economy. Pharaoh, in his fear, began a crusade of power and injustice against the Hebrew people and a young couple is caught in the midst of it. The story of a baby placed in a basket stands as a powerful witness to a worldview that life is uncontrollable and God doesn’t care about you. The exodus story was born in a tragedy but grows to become a sign of our greatest hope – God acting to bring salvation!
