Worldly Leadership vs. Christmas Leadership

We sometimes forget that Jesus was born into a specific time and place in history. When the prophet Isaiah first started talking about the coming Christ, he described his arrival as light hitting people in a time of deep darkness. The world was dark because there had been countless failures of leadership among God’s people. Ahaz, a king who served during the time of Isaiah gives us an example of how NOT to lead. He didn’t seek God in a time of crisis, and when God came to him, he ignored God’s guidance. We too live in a time of deep darkness. We need good leadership, now more than ever. Watch this week’s teaching and consider the difference between worldly leadership and God’s.
