Message: ““I’m going fishing”” from Chad De Jager

We were never supposed to meet Peter. He was a young fisherman, who lived in a small community 2000 years ago. He wasn’t exceptionally bright, wealthy or powerful. One day Jesus called him and everything changed. He would become one of the 12 disciples who followed Jesus up to his death. A few weeks after Jesus’s resurrection we find Peter and six other disciples sitting around with nothing to do. They didn’t know that God had more in store for them. This week’s teaching is a powerful insight into the ongoing mission of God and what happens when we give up on God working in our lives.
