Going Beyond Boundaries
The Sermon on the Mount is not about obeying rules, instead it is about living up to the standards of the Kingdom. Jesus challenges us to move beyond love as an emotion and to embrace love as a verb, to act in the best interests of both our family, neighbor and those we call “enemies.” This June and July, we will study the sermon on the mount (Matthew 5-7) using both insights and sketches from What if Jesus Was Serious?
