Message: “A Different Looking Party” from Chris Thompson

This is one of the most recognizable parables that Jesus tells. A young man asks for his inheritance from his father. He squanders it. He returns home. The father runs to embrace his child when he returns home. Why does the father run? Shouldn't he be furious at his son and want nothing to do with him? You would think so, but the father exemplifies something about God that is life changing. Let's talk about that this week.
