After years of dedicated leadership, congregational growth and faithful previous leaders, the worship culture at Christ Community is healthy and poised for even more growth. To reach our next step of effectiveness we need a skilled, dedicated lead musician who can develop people and build systems to sustain our effectiveness. To give you a better glimpse of our worship culture consider these strengths, weaknesses and opportunities:

Strengths

  • Our people love to engage in worship, engagement over performance
  • Our worship team continues includes 25 musicians & vocalists and 14 tech volunteers
  • Weekly worship has increased 26% in the last year and has averages 390 people per week
  • In 2024 we developed a new tech suite
  • Children, as young as 3rd grade, are active in worship
  • We have a strong, passionate, and engaging teaching team

Weaknesses

  • We have not empowered future worship leaders or developed the gifts of the next generation
  • Sound quality, especially online, is inconsistent
  • We are not optimizing our tech tools and volunteers. They are ready for additional training
  • Our congregational understanding of worship is often limited to music alone
  • We are not creatively using other forms of art and communication

Opportunities

  • Use video to increase engagement
  • Partner with our strong youth ministry program
  • Engage gifted musicians from within the congregation who aren’t currently serving
  • Recruit college students from our partnership with Trinity Christian College
  • Train tech teams for audio and visual improvements
