In a church of our size, being part of the team means wearing a few different hats. Here are the major areas you’d be contributing to:
Leader (Recruiter, Trainer, Galvanizer, Organizer, Equipper) of Worship
The first hat you would wear is worship leader. Your job would be to help us create a culture of whole-life worship that extends beyond the music sung on a Sunday morning, a culture that sees worship as a posture of discipleship – attentive, humble, and willing. We truly believe that a faithful worship leader can be used by God to form disciples and lead the local church into lives of mission.
Practically, this would look like:
- Collaborating with the pastoral staff to plan and design worship services that are spiritually enriching and engaging.
- Developing and implementing creative worship elements that go beyond music to enhance the worship experience.
- Identifying, mentoring, and equipping current and future musicians, with a particular focus on involving youth.
- Providing musical support at various church events, ensuring a cohesive worship experience across all gatherings.
- Ensuring that the worship services and events are technically sound by coordinating with the tech team and volunteers.
- Encouraging a lifestyle of worship within the congregation, emphasizing worship as a form of discipleship.
Worship Tech Oversight
Your job would be to ensure that our technology supports and enhances our ministry efforts. You would work closely with the tech team and other volunteers to create a seamless and impactful worship experience, both in-person and online. If you’ve stalked us online, you’ll notice this is low-hanging fruit. We are ready for improvement. Your role involves more than just managing equipment; it’s about using technology as a tool to connect people to God and each other.
Team Member
We are not a huge church. Our staff team works together closely on many projects, especially anything involving the whole congregation. Depending on your gifting, experience and availability, you might be pulled in to support children, youth, 20-somethings, men’s ministry, group ministry, or care ministry.
