This week we meditate on the theme “You Stand on Holy Ground.” These words, first spoken to Moses as he encountered God in the burning bush, are a reminder of the sacredness of God’s presence breaking into the ordinary. This theme invites us to consider the profound truth that all ground is holy when God is present—and He is present everywhere.

From the creative majesty of Genesis, where God calls the world “very good,” to the mystery of the Magi following the star to kneel before Jesus, the Scriptures remind us of the sacred woven into every corner of creation. The holiness of God transforms wilderness into a sanctuary, a shepherd’s field into a place of revelation, and a manger into the throne room of the King.

To stand on holy ground is not merely about location; it’s about recognition. Are our eyes open to the presence of God in our daily lives? Are we attuned to His voice in the ordinary moments and places that we often overlook?

This week’s theme challenges us to slow down and remove the “sandals” of distraction, entitlement, or doubt, so we can recognize the sacred in the simple. Whether in the beauty of creation, the stillness of prayer, or the kindness of a stranger, every moment offers an invitation to encounter the living God.

Take time this week to pause and reflect on where you are standing—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. How might your life change if you truly believed that God is present right where you are, calling you to recognize the ground beneath your feet as holy?
